When Thea tells him about Sara, he reveals to her that he already knew. Roy is bested, and he and Thea are saved by Merlyn. Roy watches Thea leave with the club's DJ, and when helps out when Thea is attacked by him as he turns out to be an assassin from the League. When Oliver lashes back in confusion and annoyance, Roy tells him that they had to work without him and are able to make their own decisions. When Thea comes down to the hideout and Oliver tells her to leave, Roy stands up for her, saying that Ollie can't tell her what to do anymore now that she knows. He gives her advice when she talks to him about working with Merlyn. Roy is relieved about Thea being told the truth about Arrow and their whole operation, no longer having to lie to her. Roy is surprised and happy at the return of Oliver. Roy contacts Sin while Laurel recruits Ted Grant, and together they get the citizens of the Glades to fight back against Brick. Roy tells her that Ollie is gone so they need to start making decisions on their own. Roy tries to argue in favor of working with the man, even though Felicity is against it, saying Oliver wouldn't approve. However, Thea then tells him the story of how Merlyn protected her during the siege, so although he's done horrible things, he's still capable of good. They succeed.Īt first, Roy is apprehensive about working with Merlyn. After a toast to Oliver and a pep talk from Felicity, Roy and Diggle take Laurel to again try to save the remaining two aldermen. He also goes to tell Merlyn to stay away from Thea. Roy feels guilty about it, thinking it's his fault. The mission doesn't end well, though, and one of the aldermen is killed. However, after three of the city's aldermen are kidnapped, Roy relents and allows her to help out. He later questions what the point is of Thea not knowing about the Arrow's identity considering Oliver's now dead as far as they know.Īfter saving Laurel's life, Roy stitches her up and chastises her for going after criminals in the first place, and Diggle agrees with him. He's put on the spot when Thea asks him to talk to the Arrow about looking into Oliver's disappearance, and has to lie to her. Roy is upset to learn that Felicity intentionally let Brick escape in order to keep him and Diggle from following him and potentially being hurt. Roy continues to go out with Diggle to try to catch criminals, although he's very worried about the fate of Oliver. He seems to like the idea Cisco has that maybe superpowered people are around to help out others. He gets along quite well with Cisco Ramon and Caitlin Snow and is happy to have the company. Roy shares Diggle's amazement at Barry Allen's speed, but is able to get over it more quickly. Once he gets back to the hideout, Roy works out his frustrations. He goes out to find Carrie Cutter with Oliver, but she knocks him out. ![]() Roy is still dealing with the knowledge that he killed a cop, but tells Oliver that he's fine. However, Oliver gets Roy to recall a memory of killing a cop back when he did have mirakuru in his system. Roy has other plans, though-he wants to turn himself in for the murder of Sara. Oliver agrees, and tells Roy that they should give him the nickname of Arsenal. He joins the fight against Isaac Stanzler and defeats him, then tells Oliver to not abandon him. Roy feels immense guilt over it and confesses this to Oliver, Laurel, and Diggle, and then leaves. Unfortunately, Felicity ramps up his worry again after revealing that, due to a virtual autopsy she did on Sara, she thinks Roy might have actually killed Sara, after all. However, there's no traces of it in his system and he's relieved by the news. He's worried he's still being influenced by mirakuru. Roy goes to Felicity and asks her to perform a blood test on him. Later on, he awakens from a dream in which he is Sara's killer. ![]() Ray mentions that he hasn't been sleeping well. While in a morning training session with Oliver, Ollie comments that Roy seems slower than normal. ![]() However, he's very happy when she decides to come back with them. In Corto Maltese, Roy tries to talk Thea into returning to Starling City, but ultimately says that if she’s happier where she is, he wants her to stay. Roy is nervous about doing so but does anyway, and Oliver takes better than expected. Felicity tells him that he has to tell Oliver about what really happened with Thea leaving. Roy uses Felicity's computer to try to find Thea's location and shows her the note that Thea left him. Over the past handful of months, Roy has been training further with Oliver and is a full-fledged member of the team.
